My school helped lay a very strong foundation for me to be a #confidentspeaker. I would take part in debates, elocution, extempore and all sorts of competitions that strengthened my #publicspeaking. I was also awarded the best speaker in the NCR region in 2001-2002 timeframe by Times Newspaper in Education, a #newspaper cutout that landed somewhere in one of the old family photo albums.

Later in my life, when I started as a consultant and had to conduct #workshops or present #updates, did I realise those basics from school helped with the ability to be able to think on my feet and #present effectively.

If you have ever been to a #dalecarnegietraining , I am almost sure you would have come out being in awe of the #trainers who engage you and you leave the training room feeling #confident. I attended one such session during #mba. I started following what they suggested which helped with my #personalbranding.

One of the things they told us was to say your name in a way, that it sticks with the listener. At a lot of times when you are making #elevator speeches, those techniques do help!

When you get time read more about how to create high impact presentations and communicate effectively! 1 key skill for a Product Manager.
